I was born in Kharkov, Ukraine on a May 27, 1974. When I was 20, my parents and I immigrated to United States. Early in my life I realized that climbing the ladder of personal success is not possible without devoting some time to a creative and fulfilling hobby - Photography.
Moving from my first camera - trusty Smena 8M, to first SLR - Zenith, and then to array of digital cameras (Kodak, Minolta, Canon) finally settled for digital SLR cameras by Nikon and Fujifilm. Most of the times I shoot with Nikon's Nikkor AF-S 24-120mm 3.5-5.6 G ED VR lens.
I love to travel, explore new environments or revisit familiar places to try to uncover something new and unexpected. Not as often as I would like I engage in studio work. We work with Alien Bees lightning equipment and recently started using chroma-key background.
Given that photography is only a hobby, I engage in a lot of various business activities - run Zealus web design company, keep a small business and web design blog and simple photography blog.
